Excellent, Herthas first game is at home whilst I'm there! :-D
Hmmm, Dortmund & Mönchengladbach are at home in December when I'm in Dusseldorf. Decisions, decisions.
Probably be BM as I doubt I'd get a ticket for Dortmund.
Thanks for posting the link. We were hoping for an 1860 game at home on the weekend of the 10-13th but they're away. However, I couldn't help but notice that Bayern or playing Dortmund at the Allianz on Sunday 12th (is it the German version of the Charity Shield)?
Any idea what chance we'd have getting tickets?
Alternatively, we're going to have to look at getting to Jahn Regensberg from Munich (which looks a trek) or worse still Aalen from Munich.
Bollocks. I've just found out that this DFL SCUP between Bayern and Dortmund on 12th August is probably at a random ground so there'll probably be no game at the Allianz that weekend. Newly promoted Regensberg or Aalen it probably is then!
It is at the Allianz!
Any of our German based posters reckon we'll be ok to get tickets? How much do they usually cost for games like this?
I'd say you'll be fine to get tickets but you'll have to make sure to book them early. Usually it has always been sold out, but as you noticed yourself, these matches always took place in a (smaller) random ground and last year it was Schalke-Dortmund...
There will probably be loads of people who usually never get a chance to see these two teams playing each other in a normal league match as many supporters who attend matches regularly can't be bothered with the Super Cup.
Union's stadium has a capacity of just under 19,000.....
this might answer your question
I see it's Nuremberg v Dortmund for the weekend I'm in Nuremberg (1st September), gerrin!
When will we know if it's switched for TV & do I have any chance of getting tickets?
It might be a struggle getting tickets for the game at Union Berlin as their stadium only holds about 18k. If you manage to get tickets you'll have a great time at Union, I went there last season and it's in a sort of nature reserve in the Köpenick district of Berlin.
I'm gonna try and go to the game at Hertha Berlin in February as there will be a better chance of getting tickets. It's not as big a deal as other derby games as there's no real rivalry between them from what i gather, but with it being such a big city there will be a lot of interest.
Should know by the end of the week which of the initial games are gonna be on tv and then the dates will be finalised for the first couple of months of the season.
9*-12 Nov Koln V MSV if Dusseldorf are at home that weekend I might drop in on Krefeld Exile and his Gealic football playing Fortuna supporting German mate.
Dont fancy starting a thread on this ..but does anyone know when the Czech fixtures are announced? Off to Prague in Nov and few of us fancy taking in a Slavia or Sparta game if possible
When in Berlin about 6yr ago a group of their fans tried to get us to go to the match with them ..looked like a right bunch of dodge pots
Just invite yourself if you want !!
Fortuna are at home to Hoffenheim that weekend.
Missed the Bundesliga 1 fixtures do you have a link.
Has Milan put the centre circle back yet?
awaiting the la liga fixtures
also what airlines fly to munich/berlin from up here?
Im going for the first weekend in september and staying in Dusseldorf what are the chances of any of these games being moved for tv? And When will tickets come on sale?
Dusseldorf v Monchengladbach
Leverkusen v Freiburg
Schalke v FC Augsburg
Ta could have looked mesell but bit lazy!
None unless you go to Leeds/Bradford or Edinburgh for direct flights.
From Sunderland North you can get indirect flights with BA via Heathrow, KLM via Amsterdam or Lufthansa via Dusseldorf. I think you can go via Brussels with SN Brussels but I've found them to be the most expensive.
Your looking at half the games moving days don't think the Bundesliga 1 plays on a Monday so might get 2 of the games in. Koln or Duisburg might be at home that weekend in 2 so you could get one of those.
Cheers, thought as much.
I'll watch for the La Liga fixtures. Managed to take in Espanyol vs Cordoba in January in the Copa Del Rey, excellent game and only about 14 euro a ticket.
I thought somebody was starting flights direct to Berlin later in the year.
I think last season they played 1 on the friday, 5 saturday , 1 late saturday and 2 sunday. Probably wrong tho! Koln and Paderborn 07 (sort of near) are at home that weekend as well as the three I mentioned above.
Quick Google says La Liga fixtures come out 20th of July during the annual General Assembly of The Spanish Football Federation
I know easyJet are resuming the Amsterdam route in (I think) December. Never heard anything about Berlin but I hope its true.
