What's the best album to start with?
Thickfreakness I'd say
Don't like them.
brothers is a canny one
I've only just heard of them - their latest (El Camino) is fairly good.
Would probs say new one.
Saw them the other week, fantastic band to see live!
This it's superb!
If you like el camino ( the latest one) then attack & release is the closest to that sound ( both produced by dangermouse) . Brothers ( the one in between ) has a couple with the same sort of production. The other albums are them as a blues duo , class for me but not for everybody. Better than the white stripes, seen them live and topper.
So go latest & go backwards?
Class band, seeing them in Minneapolis in May, supported by the Arctic Monkey Should be a good night
Never really listened to them but just downloaded their new album this morning (EL Camino) to see what they are like
Its a great album mate, one of my favourites from last year
Yes, you could try that, the first 2 or 3 albums were home produced in a basement studio which gives them a bluesy feel that makes them better than the white stripes for me. Only one average album out of the lot. Fill your boots .
Thickfreakness in my opinion
Love the band, but managed to fall a sleep on a speaker at one of their gigs in Glasgow
How did you manage that? They are easily one of the loudest live acts I've ever seen
