Disagree with this. Not much in the way of brand new bands/artists releasing great albums, but a lot of "veterans" have been in top form. It might be the fact this is my first full year using streaming services but it's my favourite year in music for a long time.

I'm in the been good but not great camp. My top albums of this year aren't as good as my top 3 of last year, those being Sufjan, Low and father John Misty.

I don't think the "veterans" have had a good year. Nick Cave, Steve Mason, Pixies, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Radiohead, PJ Harvey etc. All made "good" albums but not up there with there best.
