Are there any? Or have the locals run them off?
I'm still here.
Yes, I see black cats here in the states & the old wise tale is that if you support the black cats and they run in front of you it is good luck thou if you support the Scum for example it brings bad luck to you!!!!
I'm from Sunderland but I live in Houston TX. There are quite a few of us here.
Welcome, by the way.
Every time a thread like this comes up a few more new faces pop up...... we're all over the place here.
still haven't had a big socal get-together, hah
There are still a couple left in New York, and I should be back come January all things working out.... New Jersey prepare thy self!!!
The other half's a yank, in the process of being converted!
from a woman to a man?
I try to imagine going into a bar in the USA and coming across American SAFC fans, it would be surreal for me like. But class.
Come on the Dudes!!!!
We still seem to have a few loyal "first wave" Americans who have supported us for a good few years including a fair while of us being shit (like Burchy with the 2003 join date), so that's canny to see. Now that we're doing half decent we might end up luring a few more into the SAFC trap and as mentioned we have a fair number of Sunderland exiles over there.
Been a supporter since the 96-97 relegation season and I don't miss a match provided some Asian dude is streaming it illegally.
Where about's - I live down in Sunny Seabrook
Oak Forest, just outside the loop close to T C Jester.
Still here in sunny Brooklyn with fond memories of Nevada Smiths on the few occasions I went to watch the lads.
aye I saw us lose to coventry in there and got hammered on draught stella
I'm pretty sure I'm the only Sunderland supporter in Iowa...but I'm working on converting anyone who will listen!
Not quite a full service pub, but you're welcome in my basement for a pint and a match if you're in the neighborhood!!
I'm still here repesenting the faithful in San Jose, California. Just massively busy lately (work and travel), so I have only had time for a few brief posts.
By the way, I'm over the moon about being promoted from the subs bench to GK. :-D
H'way the lads!
I watch the Spurs game a couple of seasons ago in a pub in Sarasota. The owner was from Hordern or Peterlee. That as surreal!
that looks mint I think I'm doing well since I invested in a beer fridge to keep next to the tele
