Sorry if Cheb but just seen he's discussing terms. Surely worth a punt?
Couldn't match his wages and would rather invest in a top draw striker.
we dont need a center back we need a striker and a left back
Oh god...I can see fallout!
He's going there for the wages and the location, which a lot of mercenaries will do.
Doesn't even want to stay in the UK so he's not going to leave London if he has to stay.
Location, Location, Location.
I would have said CB is one of the more pressing areas to strengthen. what with our injurys and undead rapists.
we need a striker that can score goals if we want a top half of table finish if we dont sign anyone we finish in bottom half of table
Would depend if the Mag's stepped aside, they're on a transfer roll at the moment.
CB is no priority right now. I hope we are looking at strikers if we do anything in this transfer window.
We have 5 strikers.
We have hundreds of central defs man!!!!
Bramble is a bloody liability with his off the field antics, turner is injury prone and brown and kilgallon are both injured. Leaving us with o'shea and a iffy Turner.
Wants to stay in West London.
We have 5 central defenders, 3 of whom are injured & Turners fitness can go again at any time & Bramble may not be back this season if he gets convicted.
If no-one is brought in we may end up playing Bardsley at centre back
Quality signing for them.
Irritating example of a shite club getting a player almost purely because where they're based.
don't get me wrong, I think Alex is a great centre back to have, but even if we had zero available CB's, Alex would never come to us, which is why he's discussing terms with a London based club.
We can probably compete location wise with a premiership club like Blackpool, Blackburn, Hull, Swansea (when in the premiership) but if a club like a QPR, a Charlton, or even an Ipswich or Portsmouth, are after a player if they are in the premier league, then we have no chance unless we offer daft wages!!
Wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal or Spurs nipped in last minute.
