In the daily record. That is all
heard a few reports about this last week as well, how much are the record saying hes going to cost
Is he any better than what we already have?
Wouldnt have thought it was a position that needed strengthening unless MON is planning a complete overhaul.
Yes, yes he is.
Just read it on the paper round up on sky news, doesn't say on there.
AIDEN McGEADY is poised to return to the UK with Sunderland leading the £12million chase for the 26-year-old winger.
The ex-Celtic star’s future in Russia is in doubt after he recently fell out of form and favour at Spartak Moscow.
Black Cats boss Martin O’Neill, will make a move if he is handed a substantial budget in upcoming talks with Sunderland chiefs.
aye its deffo in the record,12 million they reckon
seems steep what did he leave Celtic for?
I very much doubt we'll be spending £12m on anyone, let alone Aiden McGeady.
Did well in a poor scottish league and hasnt exactly set the Russian or international scene alight.
One fancy bit of skill against the italans in the CL for Celtic is all ive seen.
However MON has managed him before so he must have something.
had a great first season russia but has fallen out of favour with the manager
bliddy hell didn't realise that.
seen very limited amount of him but he looks average........and not a £12million pound signing.
if we are spending that on one player I'd rather it was a centre forward
Haven't you heard mate, people think we were ready to splash out £10m on Vertonghan in January until it fell through last minute  Which i don't believe for a secnd, he laughed on Newcastle's approach because he wanted top european football, so why would he come here?
we can spend 13mill on a striker that leaves for the desert, and 8 on a teenager from the championship, but we can't affor 12 for a winger?
I don't think we will know, unless we sell sess. When we bought Gyan we had to sell Jones and Waghorn for about £13m. When we bought Wickham we had sold Henderson. There is no chance we'll spend 12m on a winger when we need at least 2 strikers
There were reports the other day that he was coming for 7m.
I'd have 'im for that.
We need cover for Larsson, who is woeful.
then we're going backwards. its always the same though, we can never build on the good players at the club, we end up selling them and trying to replace them with inferior players in the same position, and end up buying a squad with the rest of the money
Class player on his day but I reckon he will cost too much
Thats how teams outside of the top clubs have to be run though.
aye, tinpot ones. if we're only looking to survive every season, fair enough, im used to it anyway, but if we want to ''kick on'', then we need to build on the good players we have, not sell them at every opportunity.
