Is our academy starting to pay off now?
Waghorn - 3m
Henderson - God knows how much he's worth 20m?
Colback - 1 - 2m?
Noble and Adams now coming through have been on the bench.
Id say so, also credit to Bruce to be fair for trimming the squad and allowing some of the youngsters the oppertunity to break through.
Forgot about Colback
Leadbitter is a solid championship midfielder who we made a few million off, don't forget.
Would Meyler be included as an Academy product?
I think we paid for him IIRC so not completely but we have brought him on as a player I just hope he's the same when he returns.
Can't recall what we paid for him but it'll be a peppercorn compared to what he will become worth.
Many more to come I'd imagine. Can no way afford to do a Boro who will sell all their good prospects early on at a low price because of their league status.
Nedum Onuoha, Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck. erm......
I think he's played for them a few times although I'm not really sure. I think he shoudln't be ruled out as one of our youth projects.
Cozmo, amidst the win yesterday, can you please try and stop picking faults and be positive?
Played for the Academy side, so would count as an Academy product. Same as Billy Knott and Lewis King do even though we got them from Chelsea and Derby.
Whats your point teaboy ???
What is the latest on the barn development ?
Planning permission granted I presume its now down to money and a developer,
He was 17 when the AoL was built so while he will have trained there a little bit he's more a product of our old system and training facilities than the Academy of Light
Looks like it. Its been a long wait but if they arent making it in the top flight we're starting to get some decent money back from the FL clubs.
Good too see.
Just seen on SAFC.com that Jordan Pickford has been called up to the England U-18 squad. Hadn't heard of him, but checked the site and he's a first year apprentice keeper signed in the summer
