Police deal to fit up the SAFC lads on trial in February?
I know nothing about this incident aside from what I've read on here, however, may I ask one entirely innocent question. How come the Newcastle fans appeared to know our lads were being dropped off at the station?
Take a guess.
is it not safe to assume all trains from edinburgh go via newcastle?
im not defending anyone here but if you want to look for bother it would be the logical thing to assume?
The train in question was announced to be terminating in Sunderland, that's why the lads got on it in Auld Reeky. It wasn't announced to be stopping at Central Station, let alone terminating there.
Both sets of fans were fucked from the start.
Football fans v NP, it's no contest i'm afraid.
There would be a fucking media uproar if they treat Rugby fans in the same manner but that's one of many prices you pay to be a football fan.
Guilty unless you can prove otherwise.
ah well fuck it case is a load of shite anyway.
i didnt know that like, wa sit a football special then? as scheduled mainline trains dont go via sunderland? especially not the electric ones
are there mags on trial at the same time?
The NUFC fans have been in court today, pleaded guilty and it's gone off for sentencing. Separate case to the SAFC lads but all to do with the same incident, or so the Police will say.
Not true Bob, our fans have maintained all along that as far as they knew the train was not scheduled to stop in Newcastle.
Yes, train announced at Tynecastle going direct to Sunderland
Newcastle had mobile phones linked etc, texts finger prints and were not meant to be there, sunderland fans could do nothing exept get off the train forced by the police sunderland fans could go nowhere or do nothing,as the trian was intended for sunderland said in the ground at half time,
No police dogs were hurt by safc fans as proven but 3 safc fans with serious injuries and many more with minor, safc fans asked for help to the police to the injured lads which the police dogs just kept biting, ive seen the full cctv so it is a really hard case for the police to get any safc fan found guilty not one will plea guilty as the evidence is a farce.
Announcement over the tanoy at Tynecastle telling fans not to catch scheduled trains and to instead board football special direct to Sunderland. The fans that did were the ones that got the NP treatment.
Aye, it was meant to be a footy special, and it was only announced during the match over the PA [I still have the text from Macar that he sent me during the match that mentions it being announced].
It was meant to be non-stop until Sunderland.
So why did these Mags turn up at Central Station, and why were our lads kept waiting on the platform for 40-60 minutes until they did turn up ... ?
Concern is the Police will now be able to say the NUFC lads had arranged it with one of the SAFC group. It would only take one dafty to have sent a vague text message and the Police can say their heavy handedness was justified.
sounds like the police have 15 witnesses..quid pro quo,,
If they've all plead guilty today then they will have been sentenced and I'd imagine they could be called as prosecution witnesses in our lads' trial. Would be interesting to see if they would co-operate if that came about.
i didnt know this like
how many on the train then? must have been a fair few like?
Indeed. Obviously they have done a deal & will go easy on them when the CPS plead on sentencing.
Police may not even need that if they plead guilty, depending on the charge. If they were charged with arranging then the police have the outcome of the NUFC fans case to tie up the SAFC case.
