Hughes did great jobs at Blackburn & Fulham where he worked on a budget. However, he does seems to be a completely different manager when he has an open cheque-book.

I preferred him at the time, although I certainly wasn't disappointed with MON. Again, probably because of some of the dross he spent a fortune on whilst at Villa.

I would have taken either tbh.

Great start from O'Neill, got us out of trouble. Woefull last couple of months of the season though, and not much to reignite my confidence from the pre-season so far. Hopefully by this time next month we look like a solid outfit, having said that I don't buy all this blind faith crap flying around.

I wanted MON because he has more experience, hasn't failed at any club in a long career, had won trophies with small teams and because he's a Sunderland fan. I know the question was for the Hughes in people, but I had to answer.

Hardly any plodder. I wouldn't call his transfers 'plodders'.

Any club hiring Hughes will get Kia Joorabchian as well..

Absolutely no comparison. MON is the best manager we have had in my lifetime, and I've all the faith in the world in him to do well.
