Never really knew what his best position was. He'd often get played as a winger but I think he preferred more of a front role. He certainly put himself about a bit.
The Forest goal is my main recollection of him, and yes it was in the Roker End.
IIRC we had some talented forward at that time - Gayle, Hodgson, Roger Wylie (sp?), Clive Walker, were all good on the ball and capable of bringing others into the game as well as scoring goals themselves - but we never seemed to have a settled team. Colin West was a bit of a battering ram and god-only-knows how Ian Wallace got picked for the Milk Cup Final team.
