Flawed? How so? 28-31 is still reckoned to be the strikers peak, though some that depended entirley on pace are fooked by then (eg Owen). But Van Persie and Fletcher are not speed merchants.

Fletcher has 2 years left on his contract iirc, with an option for a further one (not that this means anything these days).

If we had a real chance of buying Van Persie for £15m, most of us would be ecstatic.
