i just tried this secret hotel lark, thinking its a bit of a con.

i made up some dates for 2 nights september, and did a search for secret hotels. best looking deal was 50% off down from £700 to £350

but if you then get the full hotel description and copy and paste into google, i found the hotel from the description on the companies own website - it was the mercure london bloomsbury

and search on the mercure site and on lastminute both came up with £458 for the same 2 nights. so not really a 50% saving, but still a decent saving of £108. i think i'll use this next time i want a london booking. with a bit of digging it was easy to find out what the secret hotel was

Lot of stuff on this website tells you which hotels are which. Its a great little trick if you're prepared to wait until very late on. I did it few years ago to go to Hyde Park Calling and got a cracking room in the Park Plaza Westminster for about £85 for one nigjt.

The Sunday night we normally just back to the sports cafe and then see where we end up after that. Will be at the Tailgate as normal pre match.

The Sat is basically what ever our lass wants to do....as long as i get to end the night in Bodeans
