On a side note has anyone ever wanted to sit with the away fans at a home game to hear your fans when you score ?.....No, just me then.
Id love to, the noise when stoke and west brom etc score is deafening so id love to hear it when sunderland score for example against city on new years day

The author of that tripe is a self confessed mackem, a bitter one at that, with little or no perspective on what it means to be impartial.

Why not go for that websites latest evaluation.

A load of badly written bollocks as well.

I'm surprised the Reebok features so highly. from outside it looks great, from inside it the modern medium to small stadium and it's in a naff place.

I've been on trains coming across the Tyne with many away fans, even fans going to Sunderland and they are always impressed by the way our ground appears.
Our ground?! I thought you said you were just a general NE football fan?

In the end of the day, both sets of fans will consider their ground the best.

My personal opinion, with my red and white specs off, is as follows:

    views/sightlines - SSOL
    legroom - SSOL
    concourses - SDA
ease of access into and around the stadium - SSOL
    'uniqueness' - SDA
    location - SDA
design/aesthetic appeal - entirely subjective. Two sides of the SSOL are nowt more than functional, but the west stand main entrance betters anything up the road in my humble opinion.

I saw Super kev and SNQ score great goals while sitting in the GG. I also watched Gary Rowell and Marco put the scum to the sword from there too. Another highlight was Hereford Utds draw there with me dad. Great days...

views/sightlines - SSOL - cos it's smaller and closer to the pitch. If you closed our level 7 then it would have similar views, but we'd lose 12000 seats
legroom - SSOL - fewer seats
concourses - SDA - hate our concourses in the cheap end
ease of access into and around the stadium - SSOL
    'uniqueness' - SDA

My point re. sightlines was made based on the games on Sunday. When the action went to the other end, the people in the row in front, who weren't particularly tall, seemed to obscure my view a shade more than at our place.

Maybe it was just the bit I was sat in.
