I've already stated I wanted rid of him at the end of the previous season. Doesn't mean I can't admire and respect the man. The difference it makes is that you tried to use it as apoint to have a go at NUFC fans whilst being ignorant you your own shortcomings.

Yes he was abused by NUFC fans in his time as England manager. There was some booing for his team, wouldn't call that hounding out. As for the statue, he was an NUFC fan, an ex manager and a man who inspired respect and admiration despite the moronic actions of a very small minority. Personally I'd rather have had a statue of Joe Harvey or Colin Veitch.

I think this is about right - it's churlish to deny their success in the transfer market recently.
