I know it's a slow process, but I always hate to see players come in halfway through preseason.

I couldn't give a monkeys tbh, if we have to wait til the last day of the window to get who we want then so be it.

In an ideal world we'll get players in early however its easier said than done.

Totally agree. Just hate the whole last-day-of-preseason "he just got here and it'll take awhile for him to settle into the squad before we can start him" excuse.

I think there's probably going to be less of that with MON than there was with wor Brucey like.

Turtle - ey agree. Pre season is a complete waste of time these days other than an excuse for a few lads to go on their jollies. As a method of getting players used to each other it's largely pointless. With the window not closing till the end of August, several games into the season, it makes a lot of potentially crucial games irrelevant if the squad is not fully assembled and used to playing together till October. Unfortunately those (dropped) points still count.

Even last year I gave Bruce credit for getting a lot of players in early, but we all saw how much good that did when the cushion-faced git constantly whined on about the players needing more time.

For transfer window to have any merit it should open earlier and close BEFORE the start of the season.

It doesn't make any odds for the first couple of weeks anyway as long as they're at a club somewhere, cos all they do is fitness and conditioning
