As you say, anyone born post Sky know no different.
Pleased Ive seen the Roker days like. Remember the buzz when we got back into the top flight in 90 and the World Cup stars came to town, beat Man utd and got a 0 0 v Spurs. Mental atmospheres.
I blame the authorities for being so soft and the referees for being so f@cking gullible - not the players. If my opponent's diving everywhere and the ref's falling for it every time I'd do the same.
Refs should be encouraged by the authorities and the media to be brave and take a stance - not be hung out to dry everytime they try this and get it wrong.
I too remember those games though - brilliant days. That night game v Spurs was one of the most exciting 0-0 games I've ever witnessed - in terms of the occasion if not the game. And Benno's late winner against United - well I'm sure it's all been said before. Just sublime.
I'm sure 25 years from now some 35 year old bloke will be saying the same about Ji's winner v City.
