When he first joined Sunderland he did ok and he's had the odd good/decent game since as well as too many poor/mediocre ones.

He is poor IMO, he showed a little promise when he first came as he was unknown. He could only get past people by knocking the ball 10 yards ahead of him. Once defenders wised up to it his only effective attribute was he won headers from goal kicks. Poor player, and I think the championship will be no different, it may take defenders a little longer to work him out, but when they do it will be back to flicking on them goal kicks

Nor man, plan B was throw all your strikers on at once and have the team play with no shape and have at least 5 players out of position. If Bruce doesn't know what he's doing, then the opposition sure as hell don't either; the perfect trap.
