I would be offering them Meyler till Xmas on loan. Would be ideal for him to get some competitive games under his belt.

I would personally pay the taxi to take Elmo down there myself but I rate Meyler so would be disappointed to see him go permanently. Maybe on loan to help him get over his injuries but I still think he has a place at Sunderland.

I'm suprised Bruce wants Elmo, seemed to lose patience with him towards the end of it. But Meyler I do rate and would rather it was a loan.

Got a soft spot for Meyler but he's done next to nothing for two years. Big season for him this year and a 6 month loan sounds right if he's not 1st team at this time, same for Whickham.
