In the last six or seven years I'd say Man United (signed from) and Stoke (sent to).

In the last ten years, we've also seen three of our best players sign for Villa-- SKP, Sorensen, Bent.

Thirty years, I'd be tempted to say the any of the local sides: Newcastle, Hartlepool, etc

The reason I said 40 years was to include the 1973 three plus Moncur, Gibb, Lowery, Bracewell, Clarke etc
