Was never a huge fan of the series, but for me it has to be; 'Over The Top' from Blackadder Goes Forth, funny, charming and very very poignant.
Tv at it's very best.
And a complete accident!
They ran out of studio time and just did one take (they were just going to end with them being killed). It looked so wooden they were horrified and had to think what to do. Someone suggested it didn't look quite so bad in slow motion and then someone else suggested the fade to the poppy field.

An accident - but they turned it to advantage.
The episode was called "goodbyeee".
Also, because the set was polystyrene the cast would have bounced as they fell down as if shot dead. Brilliant writing by Ben Elton.
