Greatest film ever made and some great books too. "on the run" written by his kids was good.

This was due to Tommy trying to rape Henry's wife who was having an affair with Vario. I dont think Jimmy was involved. Especially as Jimmy was involved in the killing of 1 of those made men.

I've just read Anthony 'Gaspipe' Casso's book who is a former head of teh Lucchese family (to which Henry Hill was an associate) and he states Henry was a kiss ass wannabe, nothing more. Although one of the most successful mafia movies Henry Hill would be a nobody if it wasn't for the movie there has been many more high profile 'snitches' such as Sammy Gravano and Casso himself.

The lufthansa heist was quite a big deal due to the money involved however Jimmy Burke was the man behind it.
Not long read about it, Jimmy Burke (along with Paul Vario i should have said) thought Tommy was a nutter and wanted him dead. Burke set him up to be killed. Unlike the film where he cries at Tommy's death he was happy about it.
Ive read a quite a few books where the Goodfellas group are mentioned and they pretty much say the same thing.
Surviving the Mob by Dennis Griffen
    Donnie Brasco by Joe Pistone
The Butcher by Phillip Carlo all cracking reads
