Then they left and the new bosses insisted everyone had a CRB check because of funding.
They shit themselves when they saw mine it went right back and incuded every conviction from 20 years old.
We bought a property abroad and they wanted a copy of my CRB, it came back as thick as war & peace luckily enough the missus (nah!) was a good girl and didn't have one blemish on hers, I could be goosed if she fucks off though ha ha ha it's all in her name now

if 'my mate' was involved in a minor scuffle for which he was ordered to pay some tosspot who actually started the fight 40 measly quid (and 20 quid court costs) in 1995, does he have to declare this ?

the word 'spent' is never mentioned on the generic online comparison sites so its always been a tad confusing as to whether or not 'he' is answering correctly on these types of site.
the only time you have to declare an unspent conviction is for positions requiring an enhanced CRB check such as teachers lawyers etc, for motor insurance you dont have to declare spent convictions and your mates conviction will be long gone.

if he has an accident and it turns out he didn't disclose it it can invalidate his insurance. Some companies will take on this type of risk but some won't marra
