    Default Park runs.

Anyone on here do one? For those that don't know what I'm on about, its basically a free 5k run organised by volunteers and its a good chance to do a "proper" run on a regular basis. I did my first one last week in Exhibition Park in Newcastle in 22'27". Did my second this morning in similar time. Wouldn't mind getting below the 20 minute mark. They also hold them at Maiden Castle in Durham and Silksworth in Sunderland. Curious to know peoples pbs if you've done one?

20.27 in Edinburgh this morning. Gutted as I thought sub-20 was on, but the wind was too strong and I ran badly.

I saw a lad with a Sunderland shirt at the Newcastle one, was that you?

I've done 15 in Sunderland and 3 in Newcastle, its such a good event. My PB is 22 minutes but due to injury and putting on too much weight I'm running at about 27 minutes now

Do the one in Durham. Apparently it's classed as a slow course, although I'm never near enough the front to know why! PB is 24.07

Thoroughly enjoyable way of starting a saturday...

Aye isn't the Durham one more up and down and off road? The Newcastle one is very flat and perfect for clocking up pbs. Recorded a pb of 21.57 the other day, hopefully shave more off this week. It does set you up for the day like. If I wasn't doing that I'd be in bed till 11 or summet!

I wore my Sunderland shirt last week but not this. I take it as a personal challenge to beat anyone I see in a Newcastle shirt!
