You make an interesting point. There's a book by Marcotti and Vialli about the differences between managers in Italy and England.
One of the main points is that in england if a manager fails (eg Keane, Bothroyd, Dowie, Benitez, Curbishley etc) they are tarnished goods and most clubs dont take a chance on them.
In italy, in contrast, many managers have been given chance after chance to take on different jobs. They fuck up, get fired, and get another job. The theory is they have learned from their mistakes and are better managers.
Just look at the way liverpool fans are going on about AVB. In Italy, they'd think 'he fucked up at chelsea, but he may have learned lessons he wont repeat again'.
Thoughts? Solsjkaer will destroy his career in management by going to villa. Huge risk. Brendan rodgers saw this and kindly refused.
