Default Sneech's Friday top 5 - The New York Dolls

    As requested by Sneech

The band's protopunk sound prefigured much of what was to come in the punk rock era; their visual style influenced the look of many new wave and 1980s-era glam metal groups, and they began the local New York scene that later spawned the Ramones, Blondie, Television and Talking Heads

The Sex Pistols track New York on the Bollocks LP is about them

    1) Trash
    2) Pills (original Bo Diddly)
    3) Personality Crisis
    4) Looking For A Kiss
    5) Puss In Boots

    Personality Crisis
    Jet Boy
    Trash
    Looking for a kiss
    Subway Train

Not a band I would listen to that often now, but they were great live last year.

Much more about the attitude than the tunes.

Seeing as Siddall has been my staunchest supporter during these difficult times of unjust bans, I think he deserved to take the top 5 limelight this week, and a ruddy good job he's done of it as well. Not many top 5's have a public service information announcement included in them. even though he's blatantly thor'd it

    So pipe down Mr Jel.
