Default Matt Phillips and Tom Ince

I tell you what I've never been so impressed with 2 championship midfielders like I was last night. Firstly Ince, yes he's very young but Jesus he's what weve been missing Quick, Vision, Strong and an eye for goal and I d buy him young because in a few years he will be worth top dollar.

But Matt Phillips who Ive raved on about all season is brilliant and talk about a MON player, direct, bundles of Pace and again an eye for goal. I think we shoul take both and take the chance as there pace would adapt to our high pressure and all combative game.

I like Phillips and think he'd be a good alternative to Hoilett if we can't get him.

Is Ince not on loan from Blackpool from Liverpool?

Missed the match but did Nathan Redmond get on for Birmingham?

He looks a very good player as well, but is only 17/18

He made the move permanent because he wasn't getting any opportunities at Liverpool; signed a two-year contract last summer (thus spake Wikipedia anyway ).

What about that other player called Phillips who came on late in the game? Looks too slow for me and will never make it

He'll be snapped up by Spurs or Arsenal in the summer I reckon.

Redmond has been playing off of Zigic in the last few games and has looked just as good as he does on the wing.

We need to take more risks, I don't think signing Phillips or Redmond in the summer would be a bad thing. We badly lack players with pace that run at defenders (we only have two in McClean and Sess, which is embarrassing) so one or two additions to what we already have will give us options.

I'd sooner have the two of them over Elmohammady. He's just not a Sunderland player at all, he needs to move back to Egypt.

He's quick but never stood out in any game i've seen him play yet, would prefer the two the op mentioned, Zaha at Palace also canny but he been touted around some bigger clubs than us (by the media anyway) think he might be a bit rich pricewise for us for a gamble.
