Default Question for conveyancing/property clever folk..

We're in the process of selling a house on a new estate, our house if 4 year old. A property management company charge an annual fee for upkeep of the estate and we pay so much per year. They buyer's solicitors have asked for records from the property management company ( I believe it's records over the past 3 years to get a confirmation of charge rates and increases). Our solicitors have advised it'll cost about £200.

Are we obliged to pay for this, to me it's the same as a utility bill but stand to be corrected.

If you have not kept the receipts then you require copies for the purchaser. That is normal procedure. I have to say that £200.00 is peanuts to get you off the hook of a property management company and that figure would or should be lost within any financial gain you have made on the property. In the event that you have made a loss, then it is still a small ammount in comparison. My advice would be to get rid and don't make the same mistake again. Good luck.

Just what I was thinking. I only popped into the thread to see what the clever fellas were saying. It's like watching QI.
