plagiarised from this post when it looked good for Man Utd to win title

I can't believe any 'true' fan would want Man City to win the league. If you do then I bet your no older than 30 and grew up in the Sky Generation of football
here's some info just to show exactly what I mean and why Man City shouldn't win the league. Aye teams may be worth more or less when compared but it's the way Man City have built the team that is sickening. This is the kind of thing that has done even more damage to the 'spirit' of football in the last 20 years
in the last 4 seasons, Man City have a NET spend of £391,650,000

with another £174 million on wages for 2010-11 and fuck knows how much this season

in the last 4 seasons Man Utd have a NET spend of £47,500,000

Man Utd have only spent around £130 million in total in the 4 seasons. It's only due to this seasons 3 big signings they have actually spent more than they've sold in the last 4 seasons. Whereas City have spent £127, £125, £155, £76 Million in each season since 07-08 and only sold
it looks as if Man Utd only have a NET spend of £177 million since 92-93 which is less than £10 million a season!
also what superstar wages/bonuses are City paying their players? Aren't the likes of Toure on £250,000 a week? I bet each player is probably on a bonus of at least £1 million to win the league as it's pennies to the owners. Plus didn't quite a lot of Utd's spending come from previous sales due to building a team over years rather than just buying a complete new team like City have?
City came along flashing the cash and have just made the game worse with inflated bids/wages for players. The hilarious thing now is that the arrogance shown from many fans who expected to walk the league earlier this season has now (hopefully) come back and slapped them in the face
hopefully they will never win the league at all as this is just the icing on the cake to killing the competitiveness of the league. Saying that the damage is already done as how the fuck can other teams compete with that kind of financial backing without the mega wealthy owners behind them?
Blackburn did it in the 90's (NUFC tried but thanks to Man Utd they didn't) and Chelsea in the 00's and now it's Man City in the 10's. Whereas Man United have spent big over the years they have also sold big or brought players through, hence the low overall NET spend on players since 1992. I'm not too keen on them but I'd prefer they win it. The fact the have supporters out of Manchester is only due to the success and Sky TV but if it was SAFC would you still be complaining that we had 70,000 watching and Sky were creaming over us? Some probably would but most wouldn't
just like anything/anybody that has success, they are eventually hated by other supporters but at least it hasn't been bought in the extreme that Man City could possibly be. Will they be the next hate club when you see Man City tops floating around in coming years around Sunderland etc?
if Man City do win it and gain the exposure then what's to stop some rich bassa from buying say Spurs and then hoying 1 Billion into the coffers to buy Messi/Ronaldo and other top players etc in a few years? It could easily happen Sadly football in now a business and also a plaything to those who can afford to invest and nothing more
it's like cheating a footy manager when you were a kid as you'd hack it to get unlimited spending and then just buy the best players (or use a 2nd team as a donor). Aye it's class winning everything but it's just cheating and not as much fun/satisfaction as doing it the normal way
also, people moan about ticket prices etc, well it's teams like Man City that are just going to put more pressure on the trailing teams to fight over the scraps of the players who are left. The bubble will probably burst one day but teams & Sky won't be bothered as people will still pay to watch them on TV as gate receipts mean very little to big clubs these days
