Not a great deal in tyne and wear like. You can huck about in a few płaces, quarries and the like, and you've got chopwell, but not a great deal else. The ironic thing is that the best off road ride in Sunderland (south river bank from cox green to s hylton) has been made no cycling. Fuck that like, I just ignore the signs. Plus, if you drop in from Pensher hill, you miss the signs anyway.

Away from here, I've ridden the back of skiddaw route near keswick, hamsterley, grizedale forest, glentress and the fort William dh route (don't bother).

Cracking little online magazine if anybody fancies it.....

I live in Edinburgh, so we've got shedloads of trails (natural and manmade) within an hour and the Pentland Hills within 5 minutes of my house. Absolutely brilliant.

Just signed up for a £500 cycle to work voucher so I'll be buying a Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc most likely. Wahoo!

Is Glentress also suitable for BMX? A biking (all types) mate of mine said he fancied going up there with me on the MTB's, but also heard they have some decent stuff for BMX, so was going to take two bikes.
If you go to Glentress and park at the top car park you'd be right near the stuff most suitable for a BMX, I wouldn't say its really worth taking as an only bike but if you've got room in the car then it might be to piss about on for half an hour or so before or after the main ride, so to speak. It's really worth the trip out there as there's something for everyone at Glentress, stay over and ride there one day and Innerleithen the other, best MTB area in Britain imo.

I thought that wasn't on anymore! Canny bikes Specialized. My mate is co-owner of Steels in Gosforth, Specialized dealer. Nice discounts!

I got a 2011 Cube Acid, thought it was canny to dip me toe back in.
I love it like, a really nice bike.

Cheers marra. When not if for me like. Staying over sounds canny too. Just need the weather to pick up!
