No such thing, caravans are nothing more than objects which identify you as a pikey

You can stay in lots of nice hotel rooms for the cost of a caravan. You will find hotel rooms a more comfortable option with space and luxuries. And proper plumbing.

Then you can also choose to buy a nice car rather than a towing car.

    Just saying like.

Dunno what they're like power wise, but if they're owt like the Juke I wouldn't bother. A mate owns one and says it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.

I have done both and have to say a caravan is great for weekends,a lot better value and freedom.

Exactly, before you buy one just sit down with a pen and paper and work out how many days away you will get a year "A". Then work out how much the caravan will stand to loose in value over a year, plus the cost of insurance, plus the cost of any storage, plus the cost of site fees "B". then divide B by A and imagine what sort of a hotel you can get at that price per night.

    For example

Nights away in a year: 25

loss of value on a caravan (usually 15% a year, 20 in the first): £3000

    insurance: £500

Storage: £1000 (going off the cheap example in the post)

site fees: £25 per night (forgetting gas, electric, people) 25x25 = £625

    so total cost is: £4630

    divided by 25 = £185.20 per night.

Imagine what sort of a holiday you could have spending £185.20 a night? and non of them make you empty a barrel of your own shit and piss each morning, or make you clean your own room, or make you join a club of utter and complete wankers, no one will hate you for been on the road holding up miles of traffic, its better on the environment, its better for everyone. For the love of god don't do it to your self and the rest of the world.

    ps campers are soo cool
