A friend of mine recently hired one and she done a really great job. My friend is a bit of an enthusiast himself and said she had some decent bodies/lenses etc.

I just wondered what she's doing PP to make her images look like that. She's got her own style so most of the photos follow the same theme, just not sure what it is or what she's doing in lightroom/PP to achieve it.

    Here's a link to her FB - https://www.facebook.com/KirstyLarmourPhotography

Some things I can see in these images:

    1. Shoot just off from the sun.
    2. Fill in shadows with flash or in PP lighten the shadows to almost nothing (but darken eyes and lips)
    3. Darken the highlights abit
    4. Selectively increase saturation of non organic tones.
    5. A slight cream split tone??

I can get it almost right, although the shot's I have are without a flash, so the full face is in shadow - makes it look abit fake when the shadows are lightened in PP.

I think I can get this better with some fine tuning, and of course getting it right in the camera to start with..

Not too dissimilar ayesane. Should have mentioned, she never uses a flash.

I've always thought her images were razor sharp and they've always appealed to me. She charges a fortune like. The average customer of hers is knocking a grand for the shoot, photos, leather binder etc..

    Download..

    have pm'ed the password.

Both pre-sets raise the exposure by a couple of stops so don't forget to play with that until you get the most pleasing EV.

Let me know how you get on.

impossible to get the sharpness and skin tone in PP, has to be reflector or flash.

Reflector must have been cunningly positioned!
