    Default David Leaser

His brother is a family friend and showed us his new collection which I was blown away with. Anyone else seen his work before? I am not fully sure of his process but it is a mix of focus stacking and some technology used by NASA. The detail is unreal.

I'm obviously missing something here, but why cant these result be achieved conventionally?

What special NASA process is needed?

    I like the top one.

Clearly some clever focusing effect going on, but even then not all of that top image is sharp

    Always something that annoys me

Trying to remember the name of the guy who did similar stuff years ago....

Seems to me there is more stuff in focus than there should be, even at a very small aperture

Suggest some kind of shift in focus for different parts of the pic. Rather like how a HDR effect works for levels

Not meaning to sound rude but what's so special about those? Technically they're good, but beyond that...

As the man says, looks to be a full range of different points of focus stitched together.
