Default I thought we were alright for the majority of the game

Pretty even game, not an awful lot in it. I thought we were gonna get the equaliser. They broke, they scored a good goal, then the third absolutely killed it. From the 75th minute we looked like a team getting beat away from home with not much to play for two days after playing Spurs, against a side with their tails up with players looking to get on the pitch at Wembley next week.

    That's football. It happens.

Bridge was a nightmare at left back, and Colback's done well there in the past couple of games. Richardson's lacking match fitness. That is why Colback played there today. Before kick off that was an easy decision to make.

We missed Bendtner through injury, and Ji and Wickham have rarely if at all looked up to it when they have played. That's just something we'll have to address in the summer.

I don't really want to talk about them, but feel I have to. Newcastle have had a very good season, but they've also been together for the full season. I'm not going to say if circumstances had been different in August that we'd have had equally as good a season, or even a better one, but much of the first half of our season was a bloody write-off. We were staring down the barrel of a relegation battle. Yes we may have had some disappointing results over the past 4 months, but our season has ultimately been salvaged. Before Christmas we looked beyond repair and in danger of a monumental disaster.

We had 0 (zero) shots on goal, we were dreadful, unimaginative, uncreative, weak on the ball and gave 4 goals away.

Utter shite, my emotions watching it ranged between anger and being bored silly.

Just looking at the line-up was enough to make you cry - the infamous 4-6-0. Just shows how much rebuilding we have to do - I echoed Hulkster's sentiment before the game "aarggh!"

me too, after the 3rd goal, my son was after a playing partner for the Wii so it was a perfect opportunity to beat the traffic across our living room

We were rubbish. Never looked like scoring and we conceded 4 goals and you think we did okay for most of the game? Ha'way mate.

All I'm saying is Everton didn't look any better value for their eventual four goal lead up until the second goal in the 75th minute. Just before that we'd started to apply a bit of pressure and I thought we may have nicked an equaliser.

Goals change games and we suffered a collapse. It happens.

The best chance of the first half fell to us.

While I can see what you're saying, we were never going to score today.

Everton weren't great but it still seemed like it was a matter of time before they broke us down. The best we were going to get was a 0-0 (unless Sessegnon's piece of magic had come off).

We didn't even threaten from set-pieces.
