Owen won't be playing at 38 like SKP though... No passion/ambition now

What exactly is wrong with him physically?
Can't understand why Man UTD even have him on the payroll for doing next to nothing .
He seems happy enough about it though , tweeting everyone and pulling in a huge wage for doing nothing - seems like a lack of ambition on his side

SKP by a mile
Owen has been past it for a long time now.

If Owen had half of Phillips' desire, he would have been the player he should have been.

Re: Who's better than - Owen or Phillips?
One of Phillips' few redeeming qualities (don't particularly care for him funnily enough) is that at least he gave a shit and seemed to care about his football and his club. He also had the desire to play as much as possible and, whilst drifting down the leagues as he gets older, at least he still wants to play football.
Compare that with Owen. He's never given a fuck about anything other than Michael Owen, his horses and the England goals record. He's a piece of shit who would rather not play for Man Utd than play for a lesser team. He's a little fucking parasite who has managed to stay in the limelight purely because he, officially, 'plays' for Man Utd. This has allowed his star to shine for a little while longer despite not setting foot on the park for months and months. The endorsements and sponsorship deals keep ticking over, his bank account swells a little more each month and the little cunt is still a Man Utd employee.
If I had 6 free bullets I'd use 5 of them on Owen, just to make sure.

I think this is pretty unfair on Owen to be honest. As much as a love SKP and the memories he helped provide while he was here, you just can't compare the two's CVs (ie career achievements). Owen has worked hard to compete at every level he's played at... level consistently higher than Phillips.
Owen is/was a great, great player. To say everything was handed on a plate to him is, in my opinion, simply quite harsh.

Re: Who's better than - Owen or Phillips?
Phillips, comfortably.
Owen was good for a few years, Phillips has scored goals where ever he has played for his entire career, and still is now at about 59 years old. Phillips also has the ability to score any type of goal, Owen is a poacher.
Oh and Owen is a money grabbing crock.
