Agree. After Wolves(?) when he 'won' the penalty he should have learnt he's a crap diver.

    He was fine.

Gave one or two decisions I wasn't sure about, and not sure why he stopped the game when Bale went down, but that was it.

Clueless throughout IMO, seemed to just guess a few times on throw-ins and corners and gave fouls and yellow cards for nothing. Not just against Sunderland either, Assou Ekotto got booked for fuck all towards the end of the game.

What the fuck, because I don't agree with a summarisation of the ref. I am not one who will criticise a referee for the sake of it, the bale incident was a joke but apart from that I never noticed anything specifically bad. The linesman on the tunnel side was absolutely clueless, the ref was making the decisions for him.

He then bottled giving him a second yellow a few minutes later iirc which was a worse one

What about the two handballs he missed? looked to me like both teams should have had a penalty. Though the fact that no-one has mentioned them makes me wonder if there's been something on the TV shedding light on it.

Larsson's dive was embarrassing. It was a foul, but the dive was a joke and he deservedly got a card.

I thought Foy was generally shit. Not in a "biased towards the big team" way. I think he was just crap for both sides.

It was a foul in the current climate whereby a player drops his feet onto the defending player and creates the contact then exaggerates the dive. We see them given as fouls every week, that's my only gripe with the decision. I'd like to see the divers carded everytime, but they aren't.

Apart from the Bale injury I thought he refereed the game very well. Showed common sense in not booking Cattermole in the first half.

Thought he was shite - the bloke who sits next to me is an ex ref and he agreed so I'm obviously right.
