He was dreadful on Tuesday but he's occasionally played decent for us. Who's to say MON can't turn him into a better player? And if he can't he'll get rid.

Vaughan's one and only poor game, and he's not long back from a long lay off. He had a great partnership forming with Cattermole before that. Gardner, on the other hand, has been summed up perfectly in the OP.

He was dropped for being poor for at least a couple of games a while back. There's not much between either Vaughan or Gardner IMO.
