Default Route to a UEFA place via the Cup

If Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool make the other semis... and assuming Liverpool finish in the top 7... will us beating Everton mean we have a guaranteed place in the Europa league?

Why do people automatically assume that, just because the beaten finalists get a Euro place if the finalists already qualify, that it keeps getting passed down the line? For as long as I can remember it's been winner or runner up or league places. Having a cup Quarter finalist in Europe would devalue the Europa League even more than it already is!

If we get to the Cup Final, I would imagine we'd meet a side above us in the table and in a European spot. This would mean we get a Europa spot as either winners or runners up. That's about our only chance.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. There is no way you lot are ever getting into Europe. Not even via the back door.

It will only default as far as runner up. If we make the final then we will probably be guaranteed unless we are playing a team outside the top 6. If both finalists already qualify through the league if league cup, then the cup spot will be passed to the league - more than likely Newcastle. This is why we MUST make the final! Not only qualify ourselves but stop Newcastle from doing so.
