    Default Weight loss

Everyone seems to be talking about all things healthy on here lately so I thought I'd get this one in.

I'm asking for tips here, aswell as healthy eating and exercise what else can be done to help this, is there some decent supplements/shakes that I can use or a certain diet to go on, I've been cutting down on fatty stuff but wanted a decent diet to follow. I'm not a propa heffa just looking to loose a few

    Cheers in advance

if you want to lose weight then really you dont want to be taking supplements

if you want to lose fat, then if you are weight training you could take protein and creatine to build muscle, as more muscle will burn calories faster

but as you say if you want to lose a few just counting calories and generally being aware and not eating shite food would be enough

BBC2 tonight - Horizon - 1 minutes' exercise thrice weekly - the new way to go. (Wasn't so much to do with weight loss, but made a healthy difference to his body surcombing to diabetes, and diabetes type II has a lot to do with weight etc).

forget shakes and stuff. Unless you are brain dead then you will have a half decent idea of what you should and shouldn't eat. Nearly everything you eat will show how many calories are in it so all you need to do is eat decent foods and record your daily calorific intake. take away from that your base met rate (google it and and there are plenty of site to work it out) and take away the calories burned by any exersise you do, if the total is a minus number you will lose wiegth, ie, you eat 2000 calories burn burn up 2500=-500 . If its a positive you will not. Having a -500 per day will equate to 1lb weight loss per week.

    good luck.

I think Orosso is sick as a chip and like me would prefer someone to do a search or have a sub thread

No offense to the OP, but this is why we need a sub-forum with stickies.

Also, most protein supplements etc are derived from food anyway, I'd much rather eat my nutrients than drink them...

Honestly, if you aren't an athlete or training in a specific sport, then it doesn't really get much more complicated than cutting down the food intake, cleaning up the food sources and doing a bit of exercise.
