I'm sure it was subtly hinted in the first season that this could happen but it's bugging me as to quite how. I've read up the reason behind why it happens, pretty interesting.

The TV show certainly isn't following how the comics went, which is good for those who've read them e.g Sophia should still be alive and Dale should live a lot longer. Daryl's the best character by a long way like.

Obvious give away was the other week, when they found those 2 cops/security guys with no bites but still zombie'd. Another thing, at the end of season 1 that government/army scientist whispered something to Rick, i thought it was something to do with his missus being up the duff, as he had taken blood samples from them all. However Rick was totally unaware when told of the baby, so iam guessing again that he was told this maybe a man made disease/thing and there could be a cure ???
