Default McClean - more a striker than a winger?

    Just a thought like.

If there was ever a player who was winger it is James McClean. Head down and run type player. That's not much good as an out and out striker but very dangerous for a winger

He works back so much and helps the full back out, which is a big bonus for us, so for that reason amongst others I would keep him on the wing

Never a striker in a month of Sundays....lots of potential though as a winger!

nope, defo a winger. Composed as he is, he would be wasted up top.

For me he stands out because of his direct running, wicked delivery and general wing play. A winger all day long.
