[the streaker]

Parents have discovered moneys been withdrawn from their over the last couple of months which totals over £4000.

All the withdrawals appear on the statement as "notemachine MD Contracts"

Their cards never left the house as my mother whose name its in cant get around anymore.

Anyone heard of this company if it even exists as then we would know which cashpoint has been used.?

Anyone else had this sort of experience and knows that the bank will do and how long it might take.

If the withdrawls are abnormal and and don't co-incide with your folks normal transactions contact the bank straight away and get a block on the account.

Thats been done mate........they dont get out much and dont spend a great deal and noticed this when the statement landed today..

Nowt mate........both old school in their 70's and me mothers only had the actual plastic a couple of years........

You need power of attorney or the bank won't talk to you, get yer ma to speak to the bank while you're there and give you it then don't do it over the phone go to their branch with all of the details and speak to someone face to face, I'd do it monday morning if you can.

Which bank is it. I had over £10k taken out my accounts last october. All in about an hour whilst I could prove I was at work. Barclays reimbursed me within 24 hours and then started their investigation into it. It's in their T&Cs That they guarantee the money back within 24 hours.
Manager said he couldn't rule out someone within the organisation selling my details on as we had no idea how they got hold of my details. It was all done with telephone banking which I don't have, work that one out.

Happened to me last year not the same amount as your parents, the fuckers had converted mine into $$ and it had been done in early hours of the morning in Nottingham.

The bank (Barclays) stopped the account and credited the money back straight away.

Serves you right for being so rich. Nobody ever tries to nick money out of my accounts, mainly cos they are never in the black.
