repetitive fighting game over tedious button mashing linear RPG which is slightly larger than the last one.

Supposedly they've reduced the linearity by quite a bit. You can actually explore places and talk to people like you used to be able to.

theres more exploration etc in the new FF to be fair. And you can play through an area a couple of ways to get different items with the time reset or whatever its called feature

im quite enjoying it but its the easiest FF I've played. Also the monster system is cool and the way they handle random encounters is also quite decent.

Dunno whether I like the QTEs in the boss fights though... they do look cool and are much better than emptying a health bar just to see a standard reward screen, but QTEs in Final Fantasy is weird.

im not giving it a go so im biased against it cos 13 was fucking awful, they really didnt have to do much to improve it like.

they just seem to be press X to win now, no challenge or hours of build up of characters abilities and weapons to fail miserably against Omega weapon or Ozma.

im not buying it but maybe ill give it a go in a year or so, after all its an RPG, and i usually do love em, FF13 aside

Wait on Soul Calibur, as it'll be below £20 in a few weeks. The reviews have been poor for it, as its basically a downgraded version of SC4.

FF13-2 will always sell well, so no harm in buying it now as the price wont drop for a while.

Seriously - do NOT go there... Game fucked up my pre-order bonus codes so I don't get the Omega fight DLC unless I pay out for it... I is not a happy bunny.

I liked 13 but there's more depth and exploration to this one by far. Just want a "mute moogle" button cos the voice acting is driving me nuts with the incessant "kupo kupo kupopo"ing.

Hate the fact they've gone back to the whole press series of buttons to do feral links thing - I was always utterly shit at Auron's limit breaks in FFX cos of that.

FF13 was quite good it was just let down by about 40+ hours worth of linear gameplay. I've heard that this FF is a lot more open world.
