I stayed at The Mandarin Oriental in August and it was great. All depends what you want. I was with the wife so enjoyed having the pool to chill out by and the fact that there wasn't a casino on site (really central so easy to get to others). Price was under $170 but we were midweek.

Re: Daily Las Vegas Thread
I stayed there last year and found it dated but quite adequate and in a perfect location, what was wrong with it that you didnt like, the likes of me being there?

Expedia has two in Hooters for four nights £235
Terrible's Casino Hotel for £170 for 4 nights. My brother stayed at The Terribles and he said it was fine.

Re: Las Vegas Hotels
Try quickrooms.com. Vegas hotels are suspiciously cheap on there sometimes especially better quality hotels.
If your genuinely not arsed and are abiding by the oldest vegas cliche in the book of "you won't spend any time in there anyway" you should maybe look at somewhere like Excalibur as its still okay but in a superb location. The hotel next door (luxor) is a bit nicer and has dropped in price a lot over the last 5 years.
Anyone who knows a thing or two about vegas will tell you each hotel has its positives and negatives and depending on how different there prices may be from one day to the next depends on if you'd stop in them, or that's how I play it anyway.

What do you do in your room? Lie in bed and watch a bit of telly and then go out. You are pissed, so you don't need a comfy bed.
how is it a cliche? What do you do in your room?
