He seems to be playing 3-4-3, which is particularly risky given it can expose you in midfield as well as at the back. They did keep the ball well and created some chances, and tbf to Martinez, its since changing to that system that they've been on a decent run. I reckon he's treating Wigan as a bit of a testing ground for his footballing philosophy, which is no bad thing for him personally, but perhaps not great for Wigan.
