    I still haven't worn a helmet of any description on a TT. Do you reckon if I shave me heed I'll gain a few seconds? I reckon that might be where I'm suffering vs the other oldies - I'm the only one with hair

    And what will be the effect of wearing a standard road helmet vs bare heed - will it have a positive or negative effect?

    aye...I have no choice being follicly challenged.

    I reckon a road helmet might be less aero than no helmet. Having said that you have flowing locks

    Shave your legs and wear a helmet and you might get that PB.

    This is the one everyone's talking about now, isn't it. http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/tag/greenedge/

    I might experiment this year with traditional cycling cap worn backwards

    Nice little bibble around Ashtead, Box Hill and Hedley Heath today.

    And I've Stava'd up ... it seems I'm one of the slowest cyclists in the country on segments that exist! I reckon it's mostly roadies mind.

    Multiple punctures ... damn those thornbushes (evil smiley here if I wasn't adding four images).

    http://app.strava.com/rides/5286146

    And for Sprouty, because there's not enough, a couple of photos;

    A nice little ridge blast ...

    Juniper Hill (to the top of Box Hill off the road) ...

    The trusty (and seemingly slow!) steed ...

    Only one roadie at the National Trust shop at the top of Box Hill (black coffee and a bit of flapjack ... 7 out 10) and he was on the very bike I plan to buy ... didn't ask him about it mind as he completed blanked my greeting, the fucking saggy arsed pillock ...

    View from Box Hill over Surrey towards Sussex ... the Olympic roadies are just going to fly around there ... it's not really a challenge ...

    And finally, for Al ... just about to replace my cassette and chain, I am loathe to pay anyone to do what any old fool can do ...
