Default Received a weird letter through the post.

From a supposed relations manager at a hong kong finance company, claiming that one of his clients who was worth 12 million died 1 year ago and that because his client shared my surname he would willing to share half of his money with me as he has exclusive access to his file.
This has completely freeked me out, should i take the letter to the police station or what?Anyone else received this kind of letter before?

I got one a couple of years back. Within a day or so either side, I had a more or less identically worded email.

I filed one in the electronic bin, and the other in it's physical equivalent.

I'd reply with your bank details and NI number mate, and possibly a copy of your birth certifcate and passport so that he can be sure to deposit the monies immediately before your chance at this passes.
    don't really do this.

I take it your surname isn't "Lee".
A mate of mine (called Lee) received an identical sounding letter to this a couple of weeks ago.
    Defo a con.
