Never been a fan of his but his energy in midfield was superb and some of his one touch passing in first half was excellent. And he managed a trademark booking

Thought he has been woeful for some time and one swallow dosen't make a summer. But if he can play thereabouts and with that level of intelligence for the rest of the season it will be as good as a new signing.
Mind all the players who played tonight looked like sound, good players, Gardner included. Looked a quality mid table side tonight.
