    Default Beamish Museum

I was at the Co op store today and there was a load of mags in there. The entire family were dressed in mag tacksuits.

Anyway, they had a little kid with them and the bloke behind the counter asked what football team he supported and he said Newcastle.

He showed the kid a pair of football boots, had a bit of banter and handed him a league table for the 1912/13 season.

He was telling this kid that the best team in the country was Sunderland at the time and these mags were hating it.

I mentioned the FA Cup to him and one of the mags said "but you got beat in the final". The shopkeeper then said, yeah but we beat Newcastle in the quarter finals".

Sad I know, but I walked out of the store with a massive grin on me face.

    Small victories.
