Default Which of our current squad will thrive under O'Neill.

Michael Turner i reckon.....O'Neill loves this type of CB. Brown and O'Shea should relish a manager who can organise his team. Wickham will improve leaps and bounds as he also likes a powerful strong running striker and i reckon those players who are just a little bit suspect confidence wise and may benefit from the "arm around the shoulder" approach (i'm thinking Gordon and Richardson here) may get more support from O'Neill rather than the finger of blame being pointed at them. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Cattermole improve his game ......i know he's not well liked on here but i still think there's a very good player in there.

Hey may promote some of the youth and give them a chance. Knott, Laing, Noble, Cook and Adams have gotta impress early doors. If they do he'll look to give them minutes rather than sitting on he bench unused most weeks.

i wouldn't be surprised if bardsley is remodeled as a midfield enforcer mate, under the auspices of m'on there

The short answer is everyone, one of the reasons i think SB's time was up was failure to motivate and have players at the top of their game, they all seem to be playing within themselves a bit,not trying anything different for fear of failure(some of our fans don't help in that respect imo)just seems everyone ,manager, players and fans were frustrated,so come on Martin, get that belief back!

IF HE BECOMES MANAGER, I think he'll get shot of the ones who are not up to it, like Cattermole, Elmo and Turner and start playing O'Shea and Brown in the centre of defence. I hope he appoints a new captain, like Brown.

Bardsley has played under O'Neill before at Villa - where he didn't do too well iirc.

Any other of our current lot played under O'Neill before? Craig Gardner would have, but I think that's about it.
