Default Training barn - Gyan's money should be used to build one.

Meyler just tweeted that training has been wrecked by the winds, why the hell should we still be in this situation of having no winter training barn after getting in best part of £50m for the sales of Bent, Henderson & Gyan (loan).
I know we don't receive a lot of this money up front and the payments are staggered but we know it's coming so why not invest it wisely in the barn?
Gyan's loan fee alone would pay for it as both are estimated at £6m.

Would rather it help fund a left winger tbh.

I thought we were in the process of building one a few years ago?

Even at the time I felt the Muntari money should have been used for it, only way well ever compete is by plowing money into the kids.

We got the go ahead and decided it wasnt worth the money and they put in undersoil heating instead. That's what I was told and posted it and somebody had heard it iirc, it turned out to be true.

Can't see them building one now

Been saying this for years. For the price of ONE decent player we could have indoor top class facilities that will allow us to train when its too cold / windy - which is often is in the north east compared to the rest of the country.

We complain about it being harder for us being up here, but then we don't help ourselves.

Building this barn could well lessen the impact of our every-fucking-year winter injury crisis - what would you rather have:

1 - 1 more good player but 10 injured ones over the winter
2 - 1 less good player, but 5 injured ones over the winter

    Easy choice IMO.

What is a training barn? An indoor pitch?

I don't think it's a question of money but of finding a suitable site. Why on earth Murray built the AOL without an indoor training facility beggars belief.
